Prado Museum – Building drying
Between March 2022 and June 2024, no fewer than eight I.P.E® devices were installed to protect the various buildings of the Prado Museum in Madrid. This architectural complex, covering an area of more than 41,995 m², had problems with rising damp affecting several areas of the site.
I.P.E® devices, specially sized to treat structures of this scale, were chosen to provide a sustainable solution that respects the heritage.
Results achieved
Thanks to this innovative technology, the buildings now benefit from gradual wall drying and long-term stabilisation, ensuring the preservation of the infrastructure and the protection of the collections they house.
Technology at the service of world cultural heritage
This achievement demonstrates the ability of I.P.E® devices to meet the challenges of major cultural sites. Reliable, non-invasive and suitable for large areas, they contribute to the preservation of internationally renowned monuments and museums.
